Booking a party

I’ll try to keep this short. We are going for 10 days, on the fifth day our friends arrive. 
 

they can’t start booking their lightning lanes until five days after we start. If I create searches for our entire trip, they are included on the second half. What will happen? Will it still try to find the best times for my family because our lightning lanes are active, and then as soon as they buy, their, the search includes them?

Can you create 2 parties. One for your family and another party for your and their family. Searches can be made for each day. That's how I would do it

For a search to work, each guest needs to be eligible to book or modify. You would need have a separate party with just the eligible guests before they have Lightning Lanes. Once they have Lightning Lanes, you can search as a full group.
